• Project Taqwa has a mission to advocate for the improvement of mental health issues in the Muslim community. We primarily work with Muslim college students to help reduce the stigma around mental health issues in our community by introducing students to the resources and information they need. We aim to accomplish this mission by doing the following:
  • 1. Reducing the stigma around mental health issues in the community by promoting an open dialogue.
  • 2. Providing information about already-available resources to the youth and forming of a network of Muslim mental health professionals, acting as a bridge between them and the young Muslim community.
  • 3. Strategically working to improve mental health and counseling services at existing educational institutions and community mosques using our network of professionals
